A workshop on Co-creating Green Spaces City Network and planning a MRV (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) system for Urban Trees in Coimbatore was held virtually on 28th January 2022.
A joint initiative by the Climate Smart Cities (CSC) Project, in partnership with the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation and Technical University of Berlin, the workshop was attended by over 35 participants. Dr. M. Sharmila, the Deputy Commissioner of CCMC, presided over the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to provide a concept of MRV systems for Urban Trees and introduced a detail design of the Marutha Nagar Bio Park, which is being implemented by the CSC project of GIZ India.
